David Lincoln

David B. Lincoln, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 at Elizabeth Scott Community, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 19, 1949 to Harold M. Lincoln and Mary (Bergman) Lincoln. David was the oldest of six children. He was a graduate of Gesu Grade School, St. Francis de Sales High School, and St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana, and earned a degree in Business Administration. He began working at the Harold M. Lincoln Co. while in high school and eventually became president of the food brokerage firm. David's greatest loves were his family and the cottage in the Irish Hills at Sweezy Lake. He was the captain of the speed boat and pontoon, pulling siblings, nieces and nephews all day long as they learned to water ski. What joy he had seeing them become successful skiers. David was a long time member and past president of the Serra Club and arranged meetings for the group. He also headed the scholarship committee for the Monsignor Jerome Schmitt youth foundation for many years. He was an avid Toledo Mud Hens and University of Toledo supporter and could be seen attending many games. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Lincoln. David is survived by his son, David Lincoln jr.; his siblings, Sue (Dave) DuMont, Margaret (Harry) McGovern of Florida, John (Connie) Lincoln of Michigan, Marcia (Ed) Urban of Florida, and Marilyn (John) Hall of Columbus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children, as well as his ex-wife Dora and step-grandchildren. The family is grateful to the entire staff and fellow residents at Elizabeth Scott for their outstanding care and creating a loving community for David in his final three years. They would also like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation will be at Gesu Church, 2049 Parkside Blvd., Toledo, OH on Friday, October 31st from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
