Deana Marie Frazier

Deana Marie Frazier was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 9, 1959 to James and Paulette Frazier. Over the years, Deana built a meaningful and fulfilling career with Lott Industries, where she was a cherished member of the Hill Avenue Plant team. She was an active member of the American Sign Language (ASL) Club there enjoying many fun activities with the group. Deana's talents extended to Sunshine Communities, where she contributed her skills as a basket weaver during the time of Baskets by Sunshine. Most recently, she worked for the Dietary Department delivering meal carts and collecting them for return to the kitchen. Deana took great pride in representing Lott Industries and Sunshine through promotional commercials and billboards. A civic-minded individual, Deana was a proud and well informed registered voter, a devoted Toledo Blade reader, and regularly watched the local news. She was a loyal Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing the lottery, animals, art projects, and spending time with family and friends. Family was central to Deana's life. She was lovingly raised in part by her grandmother, Dorothy "Dodie" Brown, who helped her transition to independent living by choosing Sunshine as a safe and supportive place for her to grow. Deana came to live at Sunshine Communities in the early 1990's, when she and a roommate moved into their own home through Sunshine's Supported Living program. She eventually moved to the organization's base facility in 2020 where made many friends who became like family. Deana was preceded in death by both of her parents, James and Paulette, and her grandmother, Dodie. Deana is survived by her Aunt Raquel Haynes of Los Angeles, CA, cousins Kelley Brown, Bonita Biddle, and Sherrie Simons. Fierce, fun, and determined, Deana left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by both her immediate and Sunshine families. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH on Saturday, July 26 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
