Gloria Joan Drouillard

After a wonderful life, Gloria Joan Drouillard passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2024 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Center. Gloria was 93 years old. She was born in Michigan but lived most of her life in Toledo. Gloria graduated from Notre Dame Academy and worked at the Tiedtke's Department store. She met the love of her life, Joseph L. Drouillard, married, and raised nine children. Gloria's support of the family business, Weaver Poultry, was crucial to the company's success. Gloria loved singing in the choir, the Stratford Theater in Canada, and family gatherings at Farnsworth Metro Park. Gloria was also an accomplished artist who loved to paint. Most of all she loved to travel. From family vacations across the United States and Mexico with her children in a rusty converted school bus, named Blue Boy, to bicycling throughout Europe, to jetting around the world to exotic locations in China, India, and South America, Gloria was always looking for the next adventure. Even in her senior years she loved riding the roller coasters at Cedar Point with her grandchildren. She was one of the founding parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Her Catholic faith, the celebration of Christmas, and praying the Holy Rosary were always very important to her. Gloria is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joseph L. Drouillard, her mother and father, Ida and Franklin Jacquay; her brothers, Woodrow and Donald Windischmen; her daughter, Mary Posadny, and her son Christopher Drouillard. Gloria is survived by her sons Joseph M. (Camille), Bernard (Anne), Gregory (Jeannie), and Paul (Carol) Drouillard; and her daughters Marty (Dave) Murray, Maria (Irwin) Montgomery, Shelly Drouillard; son-in-law Leo Posadny; daughter-in-law Jennifer Drouillard; honorary daughter Cheryl Conley, and over one hundred grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time with family was Gloria's greatest love in life. Tributes in Gloria's name should be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or to the MemoryLane Care Services, 2500 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio. There will be a visitation at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd, Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday, January 16, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00. The funeral will begin at Coyle on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 am, followed by the Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5858 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio, at 11:00 am.
