Jacquelyn J Harbauer

Our beloved Jacquelyn Jean Harbauer, a dedicated sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was called to heaven on the morning of Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the age of 94. Jackie was born in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence (Jim) and Ann (Samolis) Schoen on April 5, 1929. She was the oldest sibling to Gloria (Kuhr) and Thomas. Jackie graduated from Notre Dame Academy and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics from The University of Toledo. She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Omega Honorary Society. Jackie married Lawrence H. Harbauer in February, 1953 and together they were blessed with 6 children: Candace, Cheryl Fry, Gregory (Debra), Cynthia, Kirk (Susan) and Karen Kay Harbauer. Her blessings included 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her father Clarence, mother Ann, sister Gloria and daughter Karen Kay. Jackie, a devout catholic and member of Saint John XXIII Catholic Church in Perrysburg, OH, prayed the rosary daily and devoted her life to her faith in God. Loved by her family and friends, Jackie had a passion for helping others. She utilized her dietetics degree as a teacher and restauranteur at Penta County Vocational High School. Later, she joined Prescription Supply, Inc. in 1973 as the Secretary-Treasurer and was active in PSI until her death. Jackie loved camping with her family, fishing, gardening, cooking and watching EWTN. She thoroughly enjoyed attending church festivals, playing bridge, actively supporting social activities for physically and mentally challenged individuals and spending time with family and friends. She was a blessing to everyone and will be greatly missed. Arrangements are being made through Coyle Funeral Home on Reynolds Road in Toledo. Visitation will take place Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at St. John XXIII Parish on State Route 25 in Perrysburg, followed directly by the Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon immediately following. A private burial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, suggested donations can be given for masses to be said at St. John XXIII, EWTN or the charity of your choice.
