Jeanne B Mason

Jeanne Mason, 81 years young was taken by the angels to be with her husband Don on January 14, 2013. Jeanne was born on August 16, 1931 in Bellevue, Ohio to Robert and Dorothy Reitz. Jeanne was a registered nurse many years at various hospitals retiring in 1992. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1948 and attended the Maumee Valley School of Nursing where she graduated in 1952. One of her favorite things was attending the Drum and Bugle Corps Competition, which she did for many years always being there if someone needed help. Her favorites Corps was the World Famous Casper Troopers of Casper, Wyoming. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ric Basil, Casper Wyoming, her daughter, Nancy Basil , Perrysburg, Ohio her grand dogs, Bella. Tessa and Fiona. Her brother, Arthur (Sharon) Onweller and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Don J. Mason, and parents Robert Reitz and Dorothy Onweller Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Wednesday January 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7:00. Funeral services will begin in the mortuary on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church at 10:00. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Toledo Humane Society. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Senior Independence Hospice, especially Patty Farr who is an angel herself, and the staff at Wolf Creek Rehab. Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard His call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found the peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys-- A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Oh, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief-- Don’t lengthen it with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee-- God wanted me now; He has set me free!
