John-Raphael Seeman

On April 3rd, Good Friday, the course of the Universe took John into its infinite fold. Time and space now possess a young man given an analytical mind, the insights of a poet, and the sensitive, searching eye of the artist. A talent in many dimensions, by temperament he chose image making through photography and writing as his path to self-expression, revealing in black and white photos an ability to see always the extraordinary in the ordinary. With a gentle heart and steely will, he confronted and faced a complex illness with remarkable courage and hope, never yielding his wit and grace. His treasure and his gift to the family is his adored daughter, Talyn Olivia Seeman, whose energy, curiosity, brilliance and beauty, were the true light in his world, and within the whole family. He was well traveled, yet loved solace in the woods. He was powerful on skis, enjoyed chess and Gaming, electronics, and critiquing the content and form of a broad spectrum of the cinema. John studied at the University of Toledo, Owens Community College, and completed four certification programs in Advanced Recording Engineering and Music Production, and New Tech Audio Production involving a wide range of operational skills, at REC Recording, Chillicothe, Ohio. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raphael John Attie, and Josephine B. Attie (his dear “Bomba”). He was joyfully born on September 14th, 1981, to Thomas Arnold Seeman and Diana Attie (Seeman), who will hold him in their hearts, cherish, and miss him beyond words. Forever special in his life are Jennifer Corral, mother of Talyn, Uncle Raphael Regis Attie and Aunt Paulette Attie, Jan Seeman, Amy Burke (Matt), Pete Eagle (Margo), Dustin Rybka (his cousin and confidant), and long-time brotherly friends, Josh Ball and Adam Rossi, along with many cousins and a wonderful circle of friends. The family is grateful for the caring dedicated nurses and doctors in ICU at the University of Toledo Medical Center and Hospital and particularly for the thoughtful care given by Tamala at Advanced Specialty Hospital. A celebration of life and love will take place Sunday evening, April 26th, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a formal service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd.
