Margaret M. Gormley

Margaret M. Gormley October 28, 1935 - June 27, 2008 Margaret Mary Gormley, age 72, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2008. Born October 28, 1935 in Metamora, Ohio to Israel and Emma (Sibberson) Grodi, her mother passed away when she was very young. She was raised by Warner and Iva Frobase. She was a graduate of Waite High School. She met the love of her life, Tim, at a Toledo Council of Catholic Youth dance and they married on September 5, 1959. Marge was the office manager at her husband Tim's State Farm Insurance Agency for many years. She previously worked at Libbey Glass and at her Frobase family's Tiger Trailer Company. She was a member of Gesu Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Westgate Neighbors Association. She was also very active as a member of Gesu Catholic Church, coordinating luncheons and church gatherings whenever she could lend a hand. Margaret was a source of peace, love and strength for her family, her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She will be remembered for her ever-present smile, infectious laugh and lively sense of humor. Her passions in life included her family, the flower gardens she was so proud of, her many friends and traveling in retirement. She joins her parents, and her brother Joseph Grodi, in the blessed peace of heaven. Left to treasure her memory are her devoted husband, Walter Timothy (Tim) Gormley; two sons Kevin (Regina Sumner) Gormley, Jeff (Christine) Gormley of Bethlehem, PA; daughter, Ann Marie (Kenneth) Newbury of Orchard Park, NY; two granddaughters, Amanda Newbury and Elise Newbury; siblings Andrew Grodi, Betty (Robert) Sweeney, Caroline (Chuck) Battista, Mary Jane (Jerry) Pratt of Payson, IL, Robert (Ursula) Frobase, Mary (Raymond) Foreman, Joseph (Helen) Frobase and sister-in-law Mary Gillespie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care of Margaret over the last two months. God has created many angels and saints and has certainly placed some of them there. Family and friends may visit at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo on Monday, June 30, from 2- 8 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, beginning at 9:15 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside Blvd., Toledo at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
