Marguerite Majchrowski

Marguerite Majchrowski, affectionately known as Marge, Margie, and Busia by many, passed away at her home on July 1, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born on December 8, 1945 to Alphonse and Stella (Dobrzykowski) Matuszewski and was the youngest of 10 children. A beloved sister, mother, Busia, and friend, Marge was a Whitney High School graduate in the class of 1963. Marge married Dale Majchrowski in 1966 and raised 5 sons, who she lovingly referred to as #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5. After providing a solid foundation for her boys, Marge re-entered the workforce where she met and worked alongside Kay Bowsher and Cindy Ratkowski who became lifelong friends. While she may have retired from the workforce, she never retired from being a mom or Busia. Marge enjoyed many hobbies and interests, including being an avid reader and puzzler, an expert crafter of Christmas decorations, gardening and landscaping, card and board games, and a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. But most of all Marge enjoyed being a Busia. She spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren, cheering them on during their activities, hosting many "no-parents allowed sleepovers", and going on many road trips with them, including the annual summer trip to Wheeling to participate in Camp Andy, named for son #2. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Gerald, Eugene, Tom, Jim, and John. Marge is survived by her brother Victor (Connie) Matuszewski, her sisters, Mary Higgins, Kathy Rohrs, and Frannie Ruppel, her sisters-in-law Eleanor and Linda, her sons, Matthew of Toledo, Andrew (Leslie Liedel) of Wheeling, Donald (Heather) of Perrysburg, Stephen (Crystal) of Johnstown, and Michael (Emma Winter) of Swanton; her grandchildren, Crystal (Josh), Kyle, Kian, Maddy, Charlotte, Joe, Aimee and Maci; and her great-granddaughter, Emma. Her family would like to express their gratitude to Marge's caregiver (Joan) for her loving care and the numerous friends she met at the Stroke Life Center who gave her a special kind of friendship these last few years. Family and friends will be received at Coyle Funeral Home, located at 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:00am.
