Marilyn M. Wright

Marilyn Matilda Wright took her final breath February 12th, 2026, having lived a life more enriched with time and love than most people graced by God are given to grace this Earth. Born in Toledo, Ohio on September 15th 1922, to parents Clifford and Beatrice Johnson, she was also born as a twin, alongside her sister Madelyn. Even at 103 years old, Marilyn was still a faithful, and very devout catholic that worshipped mass every day, whether at St. Patrick church or at home, and prayed the rosary at least once, every single day. As a Toledo native, Marilyn grew up in the Old West End, and attended Rosary Cathedral grade school, and then St. Ursula academy, with her twin sister Madelyn. She later attended 1 year at Mary Manse College, before its closing in 1975. In her younger years, she enjoyed swimming, and sewing, and was later known for her "from scratch" at home baking. Special treats included pound cake, fudge, and lemon cookies. Marilyn is proceeded in death by her parents: Clifford and Beatrice, both of her husbands: Hector Seguin, and John Wright. Marilyn's son Martin, her step daughter Kathy Arthur, and son in law Tom Fox. She is also proceeded in death by her sisters Marjorie Cowell, Madelyn Casper, and Ellen Malone. Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Julie Fox, and Connie Seguin, sons: Frank (Teddy) Seguin, and Art (Susan) Seguin, by her eight grandchildren, and nine great- grandchildren, Sister Bonnie (Bob) Frey, Stepson John (Carol) Wright, and Step daughter Sue (Tony) Shafer. Marilyn was an amazing woman, with a warm sense of humor, and sharp wit. She was full of love, and light, and devotion to the lord. She will be remembered in the classic recipes she has passed onto her younger generations, and in the blushes and hues of the sunsets that will remind us all beautiful things must leave us, so that the new light of dawn will welcome us forward. The Funeral Mass Mass will be held at Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., where the family will greet guests starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery The family requests any donations be sent to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, the Sight Center, or The Ability Center, 2225 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH, 43608.
