Mary Patricia Ludwikowski

Mary Patricia (Stiff) Ludwikowski of Maumee, Ohio, found peace on January 6, 2024. Born in Toledo, Ohio, on August 18, 1953, she spent her early years in Bernardsville, NJ. While attending Mary Manse College (Class of 1973), she met her life-long love Robert Ludwikowski. They shared 47 years together. She was the daughter of the late John and Jeanne (Donoher) Stiff. Through her actions, Mary shared her deep Catholic faith. She was an Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Saint Joan of Arc parish and distributed holy communion to the sick at local nursing homes, notably at Wolf Creek. As primary caregiver for her uncle, the Reverend Edward Donoher, she developed a relationship with the Little Sisters of the Poor. Later becoming a lay-associate of the Association Jeanne Jugan. Mary possessed strong communication skills which she utilized while employed at Teledyne and ProMedica. These skills were sought after by many friends and family for their career development. Never still, Mary could be found taking Pilates classes, swimming, walking, and reading. Her warm personality and engaging sense of humor resulted in numerous practical jokes being played on her siblings and friends. Our lives were enriched by knowing Mary, and she will be dearly missed. Love of family and friends were the hallmark of Mary's life. She is the proud mother of Lesley Ansama and Melissa Kennedy (Wesley) and an adored grandmother to Alli Ansama, Brynn Ansama, and Charlie Kennedy. Mary leaves behind five siblings: Catherine Bush (Alan), Thomas Stiff, Jane Sonstroem (Jed), James Stiff (Monica), and Carol Stiff (Marita), Uncle Donald Donoher, lifelong friends Dianne Dickens, Don and Debbie Case, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to Mary's many friends who provided support during this difficult time. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Tuesday, January 9th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. where at Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614, on Wednesday January 10th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
