Patricia Mary Uhl

Patricia Mary (Joyce) Uhl passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13th surrounded by her loving family. Patty was a beloved wife to her husband of 48 years, Christopher; an adored mother to her five children, Matthew (Ruth), Peter (Damien), Christopher Jr. (Melissa)., Mary Bridget Pincumbe and Claire (Sean) Lyden; and the best Grandma in the world to her 7 beautiful grandchildren; Bernard, Liam, Fiona, Vivian, Landon, James and Elliot. She was also a much loved sister, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Patty was born on November 1, 1952 to Bernard and Bridget (Byrne) Joyce of Cleveland, Ohio where she grew up with her 11 siblings. She attended Villa Angela High School, and went on to attend Cleveland State University. Patty married the love of her life and high school sweetheart on October 5, 1974. Together they grew a very close family circle. She was a long time Office Manager for the Ohio Specialties Co. Patty loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Whether it is a relaxing day at the lake house, a family cook-off, playing Scrabble, Euchre or Dominoes around the table or her favorite yearly trip to Northern Michigan. She loved to laugh and spoil her husband, kids and grandkids. Her family will never forget the mountain of gifts flooding the house on Christmas morning or the over flowing baskets on Easter morning. She will meet her mother Bridget, father Bernard, sister Katie, sister Anna Marie, mother and Father-in/ law Richard and Mary (Schoen) Uhl, sister and brother-in-law Russ and Nancy (Uhl) Stough (and sister-in-law Geri Joyce at the gates of heaven. Mom, you were there when we entered this world and thankfully we were there when you left. You left us with a lifetime of good memories, and siblings who are best friends. Although we cannot see you we know you will always be by our side. Love, your kids. The Uhl family has planned a private burial at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, August 20. There will be a prayer service and Celebration of Life held on Saturday August 27 starting at 11:00 am at The Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lake, MI for all who have known and loved Patty.
