Rosemary A. Schriner

Rosemary A. Schriner, age 82, of Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, formerly of North Watercrest Drive, left her tired and worn-out body behind to be with the Lord on July 21, 2010. Rosemary was born August 13, 1927 to Henry and Rose (Grupa) Lewandowski. She attended grade school at St. Charles and was a 1945 graduate of St. Ursula Academy. She worked as an administrative assistant at Emery, Marker, and Campbell and was actively involved with the Catholic Business Girls. She married Edward in 1952, and they were married for 55 years before his death in 2007. She lived her life in reverence to her faith, service to her family, and loyalty to her friends. It was her motto to always speak positively about others. Rosemary was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed a good game of cards and played in the OLPH card club. She was also involved in the Mothers Clubs at St. Ursula Academy and St. Johns Jesuit. Rosemary’s favorite hobby was travel, through which she and Edward made many life-long friends. Although Rosemary was not able to be very active in her later years, she was a faithful prayer intercessor and was called upon by many to pray on their behalf. She was gifted with great fortitude, especially during her years of suffering. She was very appreciative of all who visited and helped her at Wolf Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rose, husband Edward, and infant grandson, Zachary Friesner. She is survived by her brother, James (Susan) Lewandowski; sons Joseph (Cheryl), William (Leah), Timothy; daughter Jane (Todd) Friesner; 12 grandchildren: Cynthia (Keith) Ketelaar, Michelle, Michael (Katie), Joel, Jason, Jordan, Lauren (Ben) Kolber, Julie (Peter) Merrell, Alissa, Jacqueline, Jonathan, and Nathan. She was thrilled at Christmas of 2009 to meet her first great-grandchild, Holden Merrell. She will rejoice in heaven over the imminent births of two more great-grandchildren to Michael and Katie and Cindy and Keith. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday beginning at 9:15 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of mom’s loving caregivers from Wolf Creek and Hospice of NWO.
