Roy "Bud" Joseph Kelley, Jr.

Roy “Bud” Kelley, Jr., age 80 of Toledo, passed away on Sunday July 10th, 2016. He was born to Roy and Bernice Kelley on January 3rd, 1936. He attended Libby High School, then began a career at LOF before attending barber school. He established the Colonial Village Barber Shop in 1968 where he spent his career until he sold the business in 1998. Bud continued to serve his loyal customers, friends and family from his home until recent weeks. Bud had a tireless Irish work ethic which he instilled in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed collecting and refurbishing antiques, golfing, fishing, hockey and his family. His cherished memories are time spent with his children, grandchildren and going into the Canadian “bush” with his fishing buddies. Bud was a devote Catholic and regularly attended Sunday Mass at St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns. He will be remembered for being the “rock” of the Kelley family, his unconditional love and putting his family first. Bud was a true example of a “Man for Others” and leaves family traditions to us and his grandchildren that will be forever carried on. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Kelley; sister, Janet Lipscomb; nephews, Mark and Mike Kelley and niece Cheryl Kelley. Bud is survived by his children Scott (Marisa) Kelley, Diann (Kevin) Welch, Lynn (Robert) Moeller and Brian (Catherine) Kelley; grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Nicole, Kelsi, Emily, Kaitlyn, Shayla, Allie, Owen, Sloan and Brynn; siblings Katheryn (Jack) Reno, Connie Mason and Joe (Sue) Kelley. Bud’s children would like to recognize, Tom Kelley who was an instrumental person in Bud’s life as a devoted nephew and friend. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home 1770 S. Reynolds Rd on Wednesday July 13th from 2-7PM. A Scripture Service will be recited at 7PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 14th beginning at 9:15AM in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns Church at 10AM with burial services to follow at the Calvary Cemetery on Door St. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society and the American Cancer Society.
