Mark Charles Reger

Mark Charles Reger was a remarkable father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He left the world after a long and brave battle with cancer on April 4th, 2023, at the age of 49. Mark was born to Mark and Susan Reger on May 19, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He cherished being an older brother and guiding his younger siblings through primary school. After graduating from Central Catholic High School, Mark attended the Nursing program at Owens College and Lourdes University. Following his graduation, he continued his education at Wayne State University and received his master's degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) which led him into a very rewarding career. During this time, he and Lynde Daiek welcomed their beautiful son, Luke Reger, into the world. Mark embodied all that a person should strive to be. His delightful wit and jokes as well as his gift for storytelling and infectious laugh were legendary. He will forever be at the core of our most cherished family memories. Mark is survived by his son, Luke, who was his greatest pride and joy in life. They shared an unfathomable love. This love brought a smile to the faces of everyone privileged enough to witness it. They enjoyed adventuring together and created a wonderful life full of special memories. Mark is also survived by his parents, Mark and Susan Reger who couldn't possibly love him more than they did and will continue to do so. He was adored and admired by his younger brother and sister, Ryan (Debbie) Reger and Tara (Clark) Jump. His nieces and nephews, Maia (Goddaughter), Jack, Will, Madi (Goddaughter), and Brenna all love their uncle infinitely. They could not contain their excitement for a visit from him. Mark also has a massive network of aunts, uncles, and cousins who always cherished their time with him. He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Bob and Zola Miller as well as Chuck and Adele Reger. The hole he left in our lives is huge, but we will carry the best of him in our hearts and continue to tell his stories forever. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Monday, April 17th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will also be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614, on Tuesday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. and a reception will follow for anyone who would like to share in the joy he brought to so many.
