Susan Murawa

Susan Murawa October 26, 1939 - July 07, 2008 Sue Murawa age 68 of Toledo, passed away Monday July 7, 2008 in the home of her niece. Sue attended St. Ursula Academy and received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Mary Manse College in Toledo. As an Ursuline sister, Sue taught in the Toledo Catholic Schools for 25 years, from 1957-1982. After retiring from teaching, Sue worked part time at the Anderson's on Monroe St. in the deli department. She is affectionately known as Sue Sue and Aunt Sue by her many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was the #1 babysitter and favorite aunt to EVERYONE. Sue is preceded in death by her parents John and Erma Fern Murawa, half-brother Donald Norris, and nephews Steven Murawa and Michael Murawa. Survivors include one sister, Janet Wilson of San Diego, C; brothers Philip (Marilyn) Murawa of Cleveland, OH, Tom (Janet) Murawa of Los Angeles, CA, and Chuck (Dottie) of Toledo. Sue has 27 surviving nieces and nephews including: Charlene (Bob) Donelan, Donna (Kevin) Katafias, Patrick Murawa, Mary (Dave) Super, Christine (Christopher) Foetisch, Debbie (Chris) McDonald, Kathy Murawa, Brenda Sue Murawa (god child), Dan (Kate) Murawa, Gretchen (Dan) McCloskey, and Maureen (Jamie) Karubas. Also surviving are 35 grand nieces and nephews and especially near and dear to her are Jack and Kylie Foetisch who she babysat for ten years. Sue also wanted to mention her special friends Nettie Edwards and her many friends in the deli department at the Anderson's, Carol Eberly, Mary Ellen Say, Ginny Poetisch, Jill Wersell, Pat Cryan and Fran Caprini. Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Thursday from 4-8pm. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday beginning at 9:15am in the mortuary followed by a Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi University Parish at 10am. Interment will be private. Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Krupp and his WONDERFUL nurses for their many acts of kindness. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Victory Center or the Ursuline Convent.
